Don't use TV as part of your sleep routine

Don't use the TV to fall asleep or as part of your natural sleep aid.

Many people use the TV to relax or fall asleep. But if you think about the type of content on the TV...late night news, violent shows, or loud commercials that scream for your attention....this has the potential to stimulate your mind and keep you up.

Even the flickering light of a relaxing show can keep you up.

If you find it hard to unwind or go to sleep without the TV then try relaxing music for stress relief. Similarly if your favorite show is on in the late hours then look to record it and watch it at a better time for you.
